Home Reveal: The Designer's Cottage
A lot of people ask me where my design roots come from and my answer is easy: my parents. Having strayed off down the science path at school, I have often toiled with the idea of studying textiles in the future...there's something about textiles that gets in the blood! Thanks to a colourful upbringing surrounded by fabrics, patterns and prints, I have developed a growing appreciation for textiles, interiors and design. With both parents being passionate textile designers, it's of no surprise really why I have developed the bug for creativity and interior styling. So I would love to take the opportunity to introduce to you a photo gallery tour of a particular special home in Melrose, in the heart of The Scottish Borders. Designed with a joy for colour, an eye for textures and dedication to delightful details, mum Kathryn has created a unique place to live aptly named'The Designer's Cottage'
